The event is entirely organised and run by volunteers to raise money for Monk Fryston and Hillam Community Association, a registered charity which provides and funds the Village Community Centre and Playground, and for MF School PTA. All the money raised goes to funding facilities for either the School or the Community Centre.

Our objective is to do whatever we possibly can to ensure that everyone has a great time and provide really good value for money. The festival is really 3 events in 1 over the 2 days and unlike lots of Beer Fests one ticket covers the lot. Friday Night is 'Taste the Ale' night; Saturday afternoon is 'Family Fest' and Saturday night is 'Party Time'. Last year over 1200 people attended over the weekend - the place was buzzing.

There are many packages that you can get involved with, from displaying your own banner at the event to sponsoring a bar or beer pump. In return for taking this sponsorship package you will be recognised at the event and on our website and you will receive entry tickets and tokens. You will also be able to take advantage of the 'sponsors only session' from 4.30 to 6 on Friday evening, when we will be serving a free 'posh ploughman's' to sponsors before we open up to the general public
